About Me

I am a PCI Certified Parent Coach, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Teacher. I became a certified coach through the Parent Coaching Institute (PCI) at Seattle Pacific University the only graduate-level training institute in the country that offers certification in parent coaching.

As an Adjunct Faculty Member at Seattle Pacific University/Parent Coaching Institute I teach course curriculum and a post graduate course. I am also a member of the International Association of Coaches (IAC).

I received my Masters in Social Work from Loyola University, and my Bachelors in Elementary Education from Drake University. I worked for many years as a Child and Family Therapist and Clinical Educator at Children's Memorial Hospital, Chicago. After the birth of my first daughter, I realized I needed a new direction in order to be a consistent participant in her upbringing. My introduction to Parent Coaching was transformational as a professional and a parent, and my passion and new path became clear. My business, Intentional Parenting, focuses on presentations and workshops, teaching parenting classes, facilitating parent groups, and coaching individual clients. I also write a quarterly newsletter for parents, clients, students, and professionals.

I live in Elmhurst, Illinois with my husband and my three daughters. They are my inspiration and my greatest teachers.
